New Zealand Motel Minders - Accommodation Managers
Are you looking for a reliable, hard working and trustworthy couple to look after your motel or other accommodation? If so, we would be keen to have the opportunity of managing your accommodation on a short or long-term contract basis.
We are in our mid-fifties, are currently based in Auckland, and have both had many years experience within the hospitality sector. We have owned and operated our own successful B&B in Golden Bay plus several Cafés in both Auckland and Nelson, managed a 10 room backpackers’ lodge in Orewa, have been free-lance accommodation photographers for seven years, and most recently we have worked as motel minders at several motels in the upper North Island ranging from 13 to 34 units.
We have good computer literacy and communication skills and are able to handle all aspects of the accommodation business:
- Bookings and Reception
(experience with Callista, Roonsoft, Motel Mate & StraitPMS Reservation Systems)
- Marketing and Sales
- Management, Rostering and Supervision of Staff and Contractors
- Conference Coordination and Set-up
- Room Presentation
- Banking, Book-keeping, Wages and Accounts
- Report Preparation
- Laundry Back-up and Support
- Stock Control
- Breakfast Preparation
- General Property and Pool Maintenance
We know how much commitment is required to run a motel business successfully, and have all the skills and enthusiasm necessary to provide any back-up you need. Our aim will be to make sure that your guests enjoy the best possible experience.
Our daily rate is $180 - $220 plus GST, with a minimum term of 7 - 10 days outside the Auckland region.
